Hiking Gloves – Mountaineering Equipment Rent
Overview
Hiking gloves are one of the most important accessory ussualy stored in our backpack. These keep our hands clean, warm and protect us from possible scratches while climbing the rock.
So it is recommendable to have them with you no matter on the season. If you are planning a hike upper in the mountains the temperature can drop fast. There will be no worry of cold fingers with a pair of those in your backpack.
How to choose the right hiking gloves?
To choose the right gloves you first have to know about which activity will you use them for. There are different types of sports gloves, some especially for mountaineering, some for snow activities and others for casual daily sports activities.
What gloves are appropriate for activities?
-Hiking gloves are also recommendable for via ferrata experiences. Holding the iron wire and clipping the via ferrata equipment will be much easier. Hiking gloves can protect you from any potential scratches from iron wire or the rock itself.
Tip: if you are planing the via ferrata adventure we recommend to take thin gloves with you.
-Going into the mountains hiking gloves are always a must to take with you. You never know what the weather will be. Of course, you choose the type of gloves according to the season but always make sure you have a good grip with any of these.
Tip: while climbing the most popular mountain in Slovenia Triglav make sure you have thin hiking gloves with you in the summer season fort he via ferrata. In the winter season have good winter gloves to protect you from cold wind and snow.
–Winter activities are recommendable to be done with good warm and waterproof gloves. Having fun on the snow or climbing the ice wall will probably get you wet. The waterproof gloves will keep your hands dry and make the activity more enjoyable.

You can return the hiking gloves to our office during opening hours, May-October from 8 am to 8 pm. If you won’t manage to return it during office hours please let us know by e-mail or phone.
*Note that in the summer season it is good to make a pre-booking for mountaineering equipment since these are the months with the highest demand.
