What to expect on Mojstrovka via Ferrata tour?

Our meeting point is in Bled. Your guide can pick you up in front of our office, your accommodation in Bled or at an agreed place in the direction of the Mojstrana-Kranjska Gora road. The drive from Bled past Kranjska Gora and Lake Jasna to the top of Vršič, the highest mountain pass in Slovenia, takes about 40-50 minutes. Throughout the ride, you will be able to observe the magnificent views of the Julian Alps. You will park at Vršič and prepare for the climb.

Hiking trail to Mojstrovka via Ferrata

You will set out on a hiking trail, which is also a starting point for other hiking paths leading to the summits of the Julian Alps. You will hike for around 30-45 minutes and reach the crossing at Mala Mojstrovka. This is where the most exciting part of the tour begins. Here, the guide will explain the basic techniques for climbing on protected vertical walls and show you how to fit the equipment correctly.

Exciting climbing the historical Hanza route

Hanza route with many wedges begins to rise steeply and leads you to steel wire ropes, on which you will climb to the top. The guide will keep you safe in a short-roped party. You will also climb the protected and exposed ledges leading steeply upwards. In this section, Mojstrovka via Ferrata offers authentic vertical adrenaline. When crossing vertical walls, you will learn how to use safety climbing gear. When climbing you will be accompanied by stunning views of the surrounding Julian Alps and the highest peaks of Mt. Mangart, Jalovec, Triglav and Mt. Škrlatica. An even more enchanting view will open at the very top, where you will have time to have snacks and take photos of the beautiful surroundings. Descending from the top will lead you to scree slopes where you will learn scree run techniques or you will go on a hiking trail.

When can you join climbing Mojstrovka via Ferrata tour?

Climbing historical Hanza fixed rope route is available every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We run a tour once a day, meeting in Bled at 7:00 am. The best time for taking a tour is between May and October when there are stable weather conditions in this part of the Slovenian Alps. During the high season, Mojstrovka via Ferrata is very popular with climbers and visitors, so it is necessary to acknowledge safety measures.
These are provided by our expert guides, who take care of top-notch equipment and protect crossings in vertical walls with the use of a short rope. We can cancel a tour due to bad weather, such as heavy rain and storms. In case there are not enough participants, we offer the possibility to take different via Ferrata tour.
