What to expect on Mojstrovka via Ferrata tour?
Your guide can pick you up in front of our office, your accommodation in Bled or at an agreed place in the direction of the Mojstrana – Kranjska Gora road. The drive from Bled past Kranjska Gora and Lake Jasna to the top of Vršič, the highest mountain pass in Slovenia, takes about 50 – 60 minutes. Throughout the ride, you will be able to observe the magnificent views of the Julian Alps. You will park at Vršič and prepare for the climb.
Hiking trail to Mojstrovka via ferrata route
You will set out on a hiking trail, which is also a starting point for other hiking paths leading to the summits of the Julian Alps. You will hike for around 30-45 minutes and reach the crossing at Mala Mojstrovka. This is where the most exciting part of the tour begins. Here, the guide will explain the basic techniques for climbing on protected vertical walls and show you how to fit the equipment correctly.
Exciting climbing the historical Hanza route
The Hanza route with many wedges begins to rise steeply and leads you to iron wire ropes, on which you will climb to the top. The guide will keep you safe in a short-roped party. You will also climb the protected and exposed ledges leading steeply upwards. In this section, Mojstrovka via ferrata offers authentic vertical adrenaline. When crossing vertical walls, you will learn how to use safety climbing gear. When climbing you will be accompanied by stunning views of the surrounding Julian Alps and the highest peaks of Mt. Mangart, Jalovec, Triglav and Mt. Škrlatica. An even more enchanting view will open at the very top, where you will relax, have snacks and take photos of the beautiful surroundings. Descending from the top will lead you to scree slopes where you can learn scree run techniques or you can go on a hiking trail.
When can you join climbing Mojstrovka via Ferrata tour?
Climbing historical Hanza fixed rope route is available every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We run a tour once a day, meeting in Bled at 7:00 am. The best time for taking a tour is between May and October when there are stable weather conditions in this part of the Slovenian Alps. During the high season, Mojstrovka via Ferrata is very popular with climbers and visitors, so it is necessary to acknowledge safety measures.
These are provided by our expert guides, who take care of top-notch equipment and protect crossings in vertical walls with the use of a short rope. We can cancel a tour due to bad weather, such as heavy rain and storms. In case there are not enough participants, we offer the possibility to take different via Ferrata tour.

How difficult is this route?
Mojstrovka via Ferrata trail is suitable for everyone who is more physically fit. An experienced guide will explain the rules for safe climbing before the tour and will help you to overcome the fear of heights in some exposed areas.
What do I need for via ferrata?
- Stable hiking boots (shoes that support the ankles), sportswear, drinks, snacks
- Hiking gloves are recommended, as holding the iron wire and clipping the equipment will be much easier
Where can I get all the necessary equipment?
If you don’t have the equipment, you can rent hiking gloves and boots in your size at our office in Bled.
Is all the necessary equipment included in the price?
All technical equipment (helmet, harness, via ferrata lanyard) is included in the price.
Is a guide included in the price?
Yes, a certified guide is included in the price.
How long does it take for this tour?
Climb and descent takes around 3:00-3:30 hours with transport from Bled and back that takes 1:30 hours.

There are no facilities or restrooms while we are on activity.
The tour operates in most weather conditions. Except in case of heavy rain and thunderstorms it might be postponed or cancelled.
The activity is not suitable for pregnant woman in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
