You will meet with your pilot before sunrise at the agreed time. At the meeting point in the Bled area, the pilot will explain the flying route and the course of the trip. He will also give you information about safety measures. After a quick briefing, you will go in a group with other passengers to a take-off point, where a pilot will prepare a balloon for a trip. If you are an aviation fan, you can also help with preparation. When the hot air balloon is ready, you will enter the wicker basket and, soon after, lift off the ground.
Even though a hot air balloon moves in the direction of the wind, you won’t feel any wind when flying. You will travel at 5 to 15 km/h, moving as fast as the wind blows. You can enjoy a peaceful and serene atmosphere, as a balloon is very quiet. If you would like to know more about the alpine nature and sights below, your pilot will be your tour guide in the air. A hot air balloon flight over Bled will take you on one of the most captivating panoramic flying routes. From a birds-eye perspective, you will observe the mighty Julian Alps, Triglav National Park, Jelovica plateau, Lesce town, and the surrounding villages. The most astounding part of the ride awaits above Lake Bled, with views of the town, lake, and island in the middle. You will also fly near the famous Bled Castle.
After one hour of floating in the air, you will land smoothly on the ground. At the landing site, you will be able to celebrate your adventure with a glass of champagne, as by tradition, it will bring you luck if you christen a hot air balloon with a glass of sparkling wine. The ballooning ceremony ends with tasting a delicious Bled cream cake or “kremšnita” with a cup of coffee or tea.
Hot air balloon flight over Bled is available all year round, starting early in the morning before sunrise, around 6:00 am. Ballooning is available in winter, too, as temperatures in a wicker basket are not much lower than temperatures on the ground. It can be even hotter up in the air as you stand beneath the burner. Hot air ballooning is weather-conditioned. The pilot monitors the weather and wind speed for the next morning. In case of rain, strong winds, lack of visibility, or storms, we can cancel and reschedule the tour for another day.

Regarding weight considerations, while there is no lower limit, participants weighing over 100 kg may need confirmation from the pilot to ensure compatibility with the hot air balloon’s carrying capacity.
Children are generally allowed from age five onwards, except in cases where, for example, a family of four is alone in the balloon. The basket’s height is 110 cm, so it’s ideal if the children are at least 100 cm in height, though it’s better if they are 110 cm or taller. You can join the trip alone, in a pair, or a group. The smaller wicker basket can hold 4 to 5 passengers, while the bigger basket can hold 11 to 12 passengers. The trip is also suitable for children accompanied by parents as it is completely safe, while the hot air balloon flight over Bled offers an unforgettable and fun experience.
How long lasts a hot air balloon flight?
The whole experience lasts 3.5 to 4 hours, with flying in the air for 1 hour since we are limited with space and can ride only above the alpine valleys.

What do you wear?
Put on comfortable and layered clothes and warm shoes and clothes in winter. You can bring your camera on a strap to create panoramic photos.

Even though hot air balloons are the oldest form of aviation, they are also the safest aircraft in the sky. The pilot with 30 years of experience takes care of all the necessary safety measures, always adjusting the tour to the weather conditions and carefully monitoring the weather in advance.
Is it possible to fly at night?
Ballooning is carried out early in the morning or three hours before the sunrise during the summer when there are stable conditions for flying, as winds are most predictable in the morning. Therefore, you can’t fly in the middle of the night.
