What to expect?
Our guide will pick you up in Bled and drive you to Krma, one of the most approachable valleys, approximately 45 minutes away. From there, you will start your 4-6 hour hike towards the Kredarica hut. At the hut, you will have time to relax and have lunch. Afterwards, the guide will have a short briefing about the hut rules and explain the plan for the second day. You will then have free time for the rest of the afternoon.
The next day, you will climb Triglav from the hut to the top, accompanied by a professional IFMGA-licensed guide and the proper equipment provided by us. From the top, you will get the chance to enjoy the views of the Julian Alps and even see the Adriatic Sea if the weather is good enough. You will need around 3 hours to get to the top and back. Upon getting back to the hut, you can expect another 5 hours of hiking to the parking spot in Krma valley. From there, you will drive back to Bled, where you will finish the tour.

What is good to know before climbing Triglav mountain?
⇒ The climb is very demanding, so it is recommended that you are physically fit enough to be able to walk approximately 6 hours in a row.
⇒ The activity is not recommended for people with heart issues and pregnant women.
⇒ If you are in doubt, feel free to consult with our guides. They will be more than happy to advise you whether the tour is right for you or not.

Am I fit enough to do the tour?
You are fit enough if you are capable of walking approximately 10h per day. You need to be able to walk at least 10km per day.
How long does it take to climb Triglav?
It takes around 10 hours to get to the top, distance from Krma to the top of Triglav is 10 km.
How much altitude difference do I make when climbing on Triglav?
You make 1950m of altitude, if you approach from Krma valley.
What is the length of the route from Valey to Triglav?
Route from Krma valley to the top of Triglav is 10km long.
How do you get to Triglav?
If you start from Ljubljana, you can get to Bled by bus and then is the best to take a taxi to Krma valley. Buses will not go there because of narrow path, and bumpy road.
Is there via ferrata on Triglav?
Yes, there is via ferrata on very top of Triglav, from the last hut to the top you can expect 1,5h long via ferrata.
Do I need helmet for Triglav?
Yes helmet is highly appropriate, but you needed only for via ferrata part, the last part from hut to the top.
Do I need proper shoes for Triglav?
Yes good hiking shoes are highly recommendable, you have a lot of variety of shoes such as: hiking boots, trail shoes, trekking shoes, trail running shoes, mid height hiking boots. Shoes need to have a good grip, and they need to be comfortable.
Can I buy food at the hut close to Triglav?
Yes, you can buy extra food in Kredarica hut, they also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Are there huts on Triglav?
Yes there are few huts near Triglav, for example there are:

Are huts open all the time near Triglav?
Some of huts are open from 20th June to 27th of September, after that date, only few huts will have winter rooms.
What if we have bad weather on Triglav?
If we have weather like tunderstorms, we don’t run tours and you get fully refund for that.
Is Triglav dangerous?
Triglav can be dangerous if you don’t know what are you doing, you need to have basic climbing skills if you go to Triglav on your own.
Are there a lot of people on Triglav?
There are a lot of people in summer, but some days are still quiet. If you approach Triglav off season you can expect a very few people if not zero people.
When is the good season for Triglav?
The best season is summer season, conditions are very pleasant, all the snow can be melted which makes climbing much easier.
Can I go to Triglav in winter?
Yes you can go and you need the proper equipment for winter conditions (crampons, ice axe and snowsjoes). In the winter there might be over 2 m of snow so it can be a challange even for experienced mountaineerers so we rather recommend you to take a guide.
Are there any animals on Triglav?
Yes there are plenty animals such as Marmots, Alpine Ibex, Chamois, red deers, capercaillie, alpine newt, Europian adder, Black Grous, Alpine Chough an Golden Eagle.
Is Triglav in Triglav National Park?
Yes Triglav is located in the centre of Triglav National Park also the park is named by Triglav.
What should I wear when I go to Triglav?
You should wear warm clothes, good hiking bots with comfortable socks, sunglasses and sunscreen.
How many people will be joining the tour?
Normaly we have 2-4 people per every 1 mountain guide.
Can I get lost when I go to Triglav?
There is small chance to get lost, routes are well marked and if you use map it will be even easier to find routes.
Where can I buy map for Triglav?
You can buy map at Altitude Activities located in Ljubljanska cesta 1 in Bled.
How many routes are there on Triglav?
There are more than 4 routes going to Triglav. You can approach Triglav from one of those valleys: Krma, Vrata, Kot or from Pokljuka plateau.
What is the hardest approach to Triglav?
There are many alpine routes on the north wall of Triglav, the hardest route is Face of Sphinx, graded 7c.
