Why climb via Ferrata Mojstrana with us?

1. Observe astounding views of Mojstrana and Dovje mountain villages

2. Mojstrana is known as a village with the least sun, while Dovje, right next to it, as a village with the most sun

3. Learn about the history of the route that was set when the old military trail was restored high in the mountains

4. Climb the route, fixed in a French style, as wire rope is not so tight and therefore a bit harder to pull up, but safer in the case of a fall

5. Test your climbing skills on via Ferrata, which consists of two difficulty levels; the trails start together and then separate into one easier (A-B) and one intermediate (C)

What to expect on via the Ferrata Mojstrana tour?

The drive from Bled to Mojstrana takes about 25 minutes. The guide will park in the parking lot in front of the Slovenian Alpine Museum. Here, he will hand you all the necessary equipment, explain how to correctly install it, and then he will do a safety check. At the same time, the guide will give you instructions on basic climbing techniques and the tour, that’s ahead.

Climbing via Ferrata Mojstrana with the most amazing views

You will set out on a short hike through the village and to the starting point of the protected climbing route, which is also visible from the parking lot. You will climb the wall with the help of fixed wedges and wire ropes. In this part, you will learn how to use techniques for climbing via Ferrata. The climbing trail then divides into two routes with different difficulty levels, an easy and more challenging wall. At this point, the guide decides on which route you will climb, considering your experiences and skills. In one part you will also climb a steel ladder. At the top of via Ferrata Mojstrana, you will find a miniature replica of Aljaž tower and wonderful views of Mojstrana and Dovje. You will head back on a forest hiking trail that will lead you to the village.

When can you join via the Ferrata Mojstrana tour?

The climbing tour is available every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, starting at 8:00 hours once a day. We run the tour year-round, depending on weather conditions. Via Ferrata Mojstrana tour is also suitable for beginners, children and anyone who would like to experience and learn basic techniques for climbing fixed rope routes and crossing vertical walls. We can cancel a tour in case of bad weather, such as storms and heavy rain.
