4 reasons to go on Night Canyoning with us:
- Setting out an adrenaline adventure at sunset and exiting the magic canyon when night descends on the landscape
- Cooling down in a fresh canyon after a hot and stuffy summer day
- Unique lights create enchanting night scenery with gleaming water pools and otherworldly canyon formations
- Experiencing a blast of fun when jumping into crystal clear water pools, sliding on natural tunnels, rappelling down the narrow walls and floating on an alpine brook
What to expect?
The meeting point is at 8.00 pm in front of our office in Bled. From here, you will set out on a 20-minute sunset ride to the Grmečica canyon. You will take a 10-minute hike to the canyon’s entrance. Here, you will put on a neoprene suit and canyoning shoes while the guide will prepare the technical equipment. The guide will have a short briefing of the night canyoning course and explain safety rules. Afterwards, the night fun begins in a big natural playground among wild and unspoiled nature formations.
You will actively explore the Grmečica canyon with distinctive lights illuminating the water pools and creating an enchanting atmosphere with natural beauties radiating in the light. You will jump from 4 to 10 metres high rock ledges into deep crystal-clear water pools, where you will peacefully float surrounded by an astounding night scenery in a deep cavern. You will also slide down natural tunnels and toboggans and rappel down the narrow rocky walls with a secured rope and with the help of a guide. Your adventurous journey in the canyon will take around 1,5 hours. The time in the canyon may vary depending on the pace of the group. Then you will change into your clothes and drive back to Bled with your guide.
The tour is available only in July and August when it is warmer outside.
Night canyoning is a more challenging tour because of the night conditions rather than the canyon terrain. Visibility is lower and extra caution is needed, despite the use of lights. Therefore, the activity is not suitable for children and does not fall under the family-friendly tour, as it is more suitable for active participants who would like to experience some adrenaline on a warm summer night in a magical canyon.
