A meeting point is at our Bled office, where you will get a bicycle and equipment for the tour. With a local guide, you will head towards the smaller villages of Koritno, Bodešče, Rino, and Selo pri Bledu, where you will be accompanied by magnificent views of the Julian Alps, Karavanke mountains and Kamnik-Savinja Alps.
The road through the villages will lead you to the lakeshore near the Mlino village, where you will start to cycle around the lake. On your way, you will stop near Camp Bled, where you will drop off your bicycles in the woods and take a 10-minute hike to the most beautiful viewpoint in Bled, from where you will enjoy impressive views of the lake, island, and castle. You will continue the roundabout Bled cycling trip around the lake and towards the town’s center. In the center, you will turn towards Bled Castle, where you can see the inside of the castle if you have previously arranged a tour with a guide that has bought the entrance fee for an additional charge.
From the castle, you will cycle on a trail that will lead you to the Pokljuka Gorge, which is unknown to tourists and is a unique gem for exploring the unspoiled alpine nature. You will cycle through the villages of Spodnje and Zgornje Gorje, where you can observe a serene countryside life. Shortly after, you will reach the Pokljuka Gorge entrance, where you will leave your bikes and continue walking on foot. You will hike around the lush woods, discovering natural attractions, such as bridges, caves, and gorges, created by the waters that flow from the plateau. After a hike, you will cycle back to Bled, where you will complete a roundabout Bled cycling trip by tasting delicious Bled cream cake.
The tour is available every day from April to October. The tour starts at 8:00 in the morning or by the prior arranged hour. The tour is available in other months as well, if the weather is good. The guide will coordinate the trip if bad weather occurs on the day of the tour and if because of this you won’t be able to visit some of the previously planned sights. The guide will also provide tickets in advance if you would like to make a stop for a sightseeing tour inside the Bled Castle. There is an additional charge for an entrance fee. The whole tour takes about 3 to 4 hours, which depends on the driving tempo, hiking time and the time you would like to spend at each sightseeing spot.
Yes, a 25 kilometers long roundabout Bled cycling trip is suitable for everyone who is not in his best shape. An easy biking route mostly runs on empty village roads and around the lake, where the roads are closed for all traffic. You will only need some extra strength on the path that ascends to Pokljuka Gorge. You will also hike to the viewpoint and on the forest path at the Pokljuka Gorge. You can rent an e-bike instead of a mountain bike in case you would like to get extra help when pushing the pedals. The tour is also suitable for everyone who would like to avoid crowds in the summer and rather visit the hidden gems of Bled, away from mass tourism.

A mountain bike is included in the price. We also offer e-bikes for an additional payment.
Do I also get a guide included in the price or just a map?
You will go on a tour with a local guide, which is included in the price.
Is this tour demanding?
The tour is not demanding. You will need some fitness only on the uphill trail that leads to Pokljuka Gorge. Otherwise, you will cycle mostly on a gently sloping path.
Is this tour also suitable for kids?
Roundabout Bled cycling trip is suitable for children from 13 years of age.
Can we do this tour on our own?
If you would like to take a biking route without a guide, you can rent bikes at our office. We will also provide you with route information and give you a map. We recommend a guided tour, in case you would like to discover top sights in Bled, that are hidden from the tourists.
