Smart Alpine Route Design
We cross the legendary Vršič Pass by van, allowing you to enjoy Slovenia’s highest mountain road without a 1,600-meter climb. The route is carefully balanced for enjoyment, not exhaustion.

This is not just a cycling trip. It is a carefully designed, small-group guided bike journey through the heart of Slovenia’s Julian Alps and the emerald Soča Valley. It combines scenic riding, cultural discovery, authentic food experiences, and stress-free logistics.
Over five days, you’ll cycle through alpine valleys, beside turquoise rivers, past waterfalls and traditional mountain villages — while we take care of accommodation, luggage transfers, mountain pass logistics, restaurant reservations, and local storytelling. You ride. We handle the rest.

Is this cycling holiday suitable for first-time multi-day cyclists?
Yes. This tour is suitable for recreational cyclists with average fitness. You do not need mountain cycling experience or high performance fitness. If you ride occasionally and feel comfortable cycling 30–60 km per day at a relaxed pace, you will be fine.
Will I feel pressured to keep up with stronger riders?
No. Groups are small (maximum 8 guests, often fewer), and the pace is adapted to the slower rider. This is not a competitive tour. Faster riders simply enjoy longer breaks at stops.
What if I or my partner find the climbs too demanding?
High-quality e-bikes are available as an upgrade. If needed, we can even arrange an e-bike during the tour. This allows couples or friends with different fitness levels to ride comfortably together.
How challenging are the alpine climbs?
The climbs are moderate and manageable for recreational cyclists. The highest pass, Vršič (1,611 m), is crossed by van together with your bike. If you prefer a full challenge, you may choose to ride it yourself.
Is this tour more about cycling or about sightseeing?
The emphasis is on experience rather than sport. Cycling is the way we move through the landscape, but the focus is on scenic routes, cultural stops, tastings, and authentic local experiences.
Are the gravel sections technical?
No. Gravel sections are non-technical and suitable for regular riders. No advanced mountain biking skills are required.
What happens if the weather changes during the tour?
The tour runs in most weather conditions. Light rain or cooler temperatures are common in alpine regions and usually do not affect the experience. Only extreme weather conditions would lead to cancellation or adjustment.
Is Slovenia safe for road cycling?
Yes. Slovenia is considered a safe cycling destination with well-maintained roads and generally respectful drivers. Routes are selected for scenic value and low traffic whenever possible.
What happens if there is a mechanical issue during the ride?
In case of a mechanical problem, we contact our support team and arrange a replacement bike as quickly as possible—typically within one to two hours, depending on location.
Is riding five consecutive days too demanding?
The main challenge is riding several days in a row. If you cycle occasionally (for example once a month), you should feel comfortable. If you ride only once or twice a year, you may find the consecutive days more demanding.
What bikes are included? Can I bring my own?
We provide high-quality Scott mountain bikes suitable for the terrain. You are welcome to bring your own bike, but the tour price remains the same as rental bikes are already included. E-bike upgrades are available.
Who is this cycling holiday not suitable for?
This tour is not suitable for travelers seeking a high-intensity performance cycling camp or competitive mountain challenge. It is designed for active guests who prefer scenic riding, cultural experiences, and a relaxed group atmosphere.
