What to expect on Climbing Triglav in 2 days tour?
First thing in the early morning you will meet the guide either at your accommodation in Bled or our office. Your guide will also be your driver to the starting point in Krma valley. During the drive, you will be able to observe Triglav national park which will be a nice start of the day. After 50 minutes of driving, you will get to the second part of this Triglav in two days experience.
The start of the hike to Triglav mountain.
Firstly, you will approach the Triglav mountain trought wood and lush of Krma valley. Soon you will start to climb uphill passing the meadows of Vrtača. Secondly, on the path, we will pass the shepherd’s cottage called Prgarica. After passing a short break by the hut we will continue the last climb called Kalvarija before the highest hut in Julian alps Triglaski dom na Kredarici. All together you will need around 6h (dependes on conditions and pace of the group) of walking to get to Kredarica hut. In the hut guide will help with accommodation, he will show you where to get keys from the room and you will analyze and prepare for the next day when you will climb to Triglav mountain.
Following a short briefing, you will have free time to explore the nature around Kredarica hut. The surrounding of the hut offers an amazing view to the top of Triglav mountain as also to some other mountains. You will be able to observe the sunset during the dinner and then take a rest before the next climb.
Climb to the top of Triglav mountain.
Normally you will go to the top next morning where you will see the sunrise if the weather will be favourable. In case of good weather conditions, you will start preparing at 6:00 in the morning. You will climb the most demanding part of via ferrata before reaching Aljažev tower on the top of Triglav. The guide will give you all the details about via ferrata climbing, he will also help you with gearing up your equipment like harness, helmet and via ferrata clippers. You can expect 2 h of via ferrata before you top the mountain.
Finally, after the top, you will make a safe descent to Kredarica hut for a mountain breakfast. You will make around 8 hours of walking downhill and around 1950m of altitude difference. We will hike all the way back to the car parked in Krma valley. Last but not least the guide will drive you back to Bled.
