In our office in Bled, you can find all sorts of alpine equipment rental, even the specific mountaineering gear that is essential for your type of hiking. A headlamp is a very useful and essential item for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. You may be caught by night while descending the mountain, enjoy running at night, or just need a light while camping outdoors. Therefore, we offer different headlamps for you to rent and light up your outdoor adventure.
Some people use flashlights or smartphones to light up their path, but having a headlamp will free your hands and make things much easier and more convenient. The headlamp has quite as powerful beam distance and brightness as a flashlight but is more practical in that matter. You can easily put it on your head and walk around, brightening your way.
– First, when choosing the right headlamp, you need to know for what purpose you will need it. Do you need it for mountaineering—typically for an early start before dawn or a late descent after sunset? Or, do you need it just for walking around the tent on the campsite at night?
– In the case of mountaineering, we recommend you choose a brighter headlamp with a broader light reach. That way, you can easily navigate whether you’re in a dark forest or on rocky terrain in the mountains.
– When choosing your headlamp, be sure to consider its battery life. Again, it depends on how long you will need it without recharging.
– The tilt: The ability to adjust it in all directions is great, especially when climbing or descending the mountain.
– Water resistance: Having an outdoor activity can also mean adjusting to any weather. So, in case of rain or even snow, this will make sure the headlamp will still work.
– Red light mode: Particularly useful at night, as it preserves night vision by preventing pupil contraction unlike white light.

All the alpine equipment rental is available in our Altitude Activities office on Ljubljanska cesta 1, 4260 Bled. Please ensure that the gear is picked up and returned during the office hours that are currently in effect. (Every day from 10 am to 6 pm)
We understand that many hikers prefer to start their day early, so we offer the option to pick up your gear from our office one afternoon before your booking (until 6 p.m.) at no extra cost.
If you don’t manage to return it during office hours, please let us know by phone or e-mail.
