To cross the iron trails the via ferrata system is an important part of the equipment. Mostly via ferrata routes are very exposed and also dangerous. But with the use of the right and caution, this might be fun. So beside harness and helmet, the via ferrata system is a must to reach beautiful spots in Slovenian mountains
Because of the great exposure on Via ferrata trails, the attachment of via Ferrata system on the iron cables will ensure your safety and will reduce the risk for the fall.
First thing first, when you intend to use the via ferrata lanyard you need to know the basics.
The system firstly consists from attachment loop, the purpose of which is to attach the via ferrata lanyard with a harness. Secondly, there is an energy absorber which is crucial in the case of fall. Thirdly, there are two lanyards that give you the space to move around while you are attached on the cable. And last but not least from two carabiners which serve to connect via ferrata system with the wire.

You can rent and return the equipment in our Altitude office on Ljubljanska cesta 1, 4260 Bled. Please ensure that the gear is picked up and returned during the office hours that are currently in effect. (Every day from 10 am to 6 pm)
We understand that many hikers prefer to start their day early, so we offer the option to pick up your gear from our office one afternoon before your booking (until 6 p.m.) at no extra cost.
If you won’t manage to return it during office hours please let us know by e-mail.
*Note that in the summer season, it is good to make a pre-booking for the via ferrata set since these are the months with the highest demand.
