A headlamp is a very useful essential for everyone enjoying the outdoors. You may be caught by the night while descending the mountain, enjoy running at night or need a light while camping outdoors.
Of course, there are lots of different types of these used for a different purpose.
Why is headlamp useful?
Some are using the flashlight or telephone to enlight the way but heaving a headlamp will save you a lot of things. The headlamp has quite as powerful beam distance and brightness as a flashlight but is more practical in that matter. Easly you can put it in your head and walk around brightening your way.
How to choose the right headlamp?
First, when choosing the right headlamp you need to know for what purpose will you need it. Do you need it for mountaineering-ussualy for an early start in the night or late descent. Or on the other hand, you might need it for walking around the tent on the campsite at night.
In the case of mountaineering, we recommend you to choose a brighter headlamp with a wider light reach. That way you can easily find yourself either in the dark forest or rocky terrain in the mountains.
By choosing your headlamp also be careful on the running time of it. Again dependes on the time you will need it without additional charging.
What are the additional useful headlamp features?
A first useful feature is surely the tilt. Ability to adjust tit in all ways is great, especially when climbing or descending the mountain.
The second feature would definitely be water resistance. Having an outdoor activity can also mean to adjust to any weather. So in case of the rain o even snow this will make sure the headlamp will still work.
Last but not least the red light mode which is especially useful at night because it does not cause our pupils to shrink as white light.

You can rent and return the equipment in our Altitude office on Ljubljanska cesta 1, 4260 Bled. Please ensure that the gear is picked up and returned during the office hours that are currently in effect. (Every day from 10 am to 6 pm)
If you won’t manage to return it during office hours please let us know by e-mail.
*Note that in the summer season it is good to make a pre-booking for the rock climbing set since these are the months with the highest demand.
