4 reasons to go on the Winter Alpine Wonders tour with us:
- All of the best sights in Triglav National Park in one day
- Tasting the traditional Slovenian food
- Enjoying the serenity of all the famous sights, not crowded as in summer
- Fun and friendly local guide
What to expect?
We meet in Bled and start our journey through the scenic valley of Bohinj. Our first stop on the Winter Alpine Wonders tour is at Bohinj lake, where we can admire and appreciate a morning serenity in the heart of Triglav National Park. After a short walk by the lake, we go to the gorgeous river Mostnica gorge to search for a small elephant that lives there.
We continue our tour to the largest mountain plateau in Slovenia – Pokljuka. An endless forest with tall spruce trees covered in snow will take our breath away. We will stop there for a traditional Slovenian brunch, a stew, and a dessert.
After the lunch break, we follow the road through the valley of Radovna to the valley of Vrata, where we hike by the river of Triglavska Bistrica, reaching our amazing waterfall Peričnik. If it’s cold enough, we can admire the white-blue curtain of icicles covering the whole cliff.
Then we drive to the next stop, a nature reserve called Zelenci. It’s known for its beautiful green colours, which are even more vivid in wintertime. We finish the tour in the picturesque village of Kranjska Gora, where we can have some traditional Slovenian street food at the sparkly and traditional alpine village. We will end the Winter Alpine Wonders tour in Bled between 4 and 5 pm.
