At our Altitude Activities office in Bled, we offer a full range of alpine equipment rental, including high-quality winter gear for mountaineering. One of the most essential pieces of equipment for snowy and icy terrain is proper mountaineering footwear. In winter conditions, regular hiking shoes simply won’t do the job—your safety and comfort depend on the right shoes.
To make your winter adventure easier, we rent Salewa Crow GTX mountaineering shoes, a top-performing model designed for alpine tours in snowy and mixed terrain. These shoes are crampon-compatible and offer excellent ankle support, insulation, and waterproof protection, making them ideal for winter ascents and technical hikes.
We understand that mountaineering shoes are bulky and often not worth packing when travelling. That’s why we offer reliable, high-performance winter boots right here in Bled. With our rental service, you can start your winter adventure fully equipped—without the extra baggage.

To help you get an early start on your winter hike, you’re welcome to pick up your equipment the afternoon before your tour (until 6 PM) at no extra charge.
If you’re unable to return the gear during office hours, please contact us by phone or email to make alternate arrangements.
When trying on winter mountaineering shoes:
Wear warm hiking socks (preferably synthetic or wool).
Try the shoes later in the day when your feet are slightly swollen.
Walk around the shop to check for comfort and stability.
Ensure there’s wiggle room for your toes, especially in cold conditions.
Pre-booking is highly recommended during the winter season due to high demand.
