Riverboarding is something special in this part of the unspoiled alpine nature as you will have the opportunity to truly feel and enjoy in the crystal-clear water and go down on one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe, the emerald green Soca River. On a river bob, the river flow will take you across the most beautiful sections of the river, near the famous Boka Waterfall, numerous emerald green pools and white pebble beaches.
Hydrospeed Soča is an adventurous water activity, which offers lots of fun when you are maneuvering between rocks and overcoming the first slow and then faster rapids. Direct contact with emerald water will fill you with adrenaline as you will experience the river from a fish perspective. Hold your board and cruise the river like a pro!
The tour runs on the most impressive section of the Soca River, between Boka and Trnovo ob Soči. On the river board and with flippers on, you will swim with the river flow that will carry you almost 8 kilometers down the course.
You will stop several times to get some rest while the guide will show you the most beautiful emerald green river pools and other amazing natural spots along the riverbank. The entire tour, including transportation, takes 2 to 3 hours, with river flow time from 1 to 1:30 hour.

Then we will drive to the starting point by the river, which is only 15 minutes away from Bovec. Here you will also get your board to go on an unforgettable journey on the Emerald Beauty rapids.
In the upper, calmer section of the river, an experienced guide will explain and show you techniques for steering your board, how to lean on it with your body, and how to grip the upper handles for easier maneuvering. You will also learn how to use the flippers to direct the flow and stop the water current. This way you will be fully prepared for going down on bigger rapids. Throughout the adventure, the guide in a kayak will accompany and keep you safe.
The tour is suitable for all enthusiasts of white-water sports who would like to explore the riverbanks of the Emerald Beauty and have fun on the rapids. The trip requires some physical fitness and swimming abilities. In any case, the guide will adjust the tour according to your preferences and fitness. Hydrospeeding can run on a calmer section of the river or sections with bigger rapids.
The tour is not suitable for children up to the age of 8 or up to 120 centimeters of height since children don’t have enough strength to hold the river board for a longer time and may not be able to swim on their own.
Hydrospeed Soča in Slovenia is available from March 15th to October 30th. Since the season is quite long, water levels are changing as well. During the summer months in July and August, there is the least amount of rainfall with lower water levels. The tour provides you with a more relaxed trip and pleasant refreshment when the outside temperatures are high. In the spring, the water levels are quite high, so the tour offers an adventure filled with adrenaline on the wild rapids.
