Full of beautiful natural slides, this canyon is a perfect place to have fun with your children, teenagers and all those who are afraid of high jumps. The gorge offers a zip-line descent and a few low jumps into crystal-clear water pools and it’s the ideal place to enjoy nature together as a family.
You will take a ride from Bled to Bohinj with our guide. The trip to the parking lot near the canyon entrance takes about 25 minutes. During this time, the guide will reveal the course of the first part of the tour. Upon arrival, the guide will provide you with all the necessary equipment in your size and demonstrate how to put on a wetsuit, shoes, harness, and helmet. Then the guide will check that you have well fitted all the equipment. After the safety check, you will go on a short walk to the starting point. Before going down the canyon for the first time, the guide will explain safety rules and basic techniques. In the canyon, the guide will walk in front of you so he can check the terrain and install the safety ropes.
Impressive water attractions await in the canyon, with jumps into crystal clear river pools, slides on natural water tunnels, secured rope abseils down the narrow walls and floating in emerald green river pools. Your guide will take pictures while you will be doing jumps and being in other adventurous poses. The family canyoning tour in the canyon takes about an hour.
The best time of year for a family canyoning tour is between May and the end of September. During this period, the water in the canyon has the highest temperatures, with the highest water flow during the spring months. From May to the end of September, we run the tour twice a day, every day. You can also book an activity in March, April, and October if the more refreshing water doesn’t bother you. In any case, you will have a thick wetsuit on, that will keep you warm.

Is family canyoning safe for kids?

Do we need to know how to swim?
We recommend basic swimming skills due to the deeper river pools. The activity can also be carried out for non-swimmers.
